She is a graduate of Eastern Illinois University, where she worked for the local PBS station on its Emmy award-winning newscast. She came from WQOW, the ABC affiliate in Eau Claire, after helping take 'Wake Up Wisconsin Weekend' statewide in 2015 as anchor and producer from WKOW, the ABC affiliate in Madison.Ī native of Chicagoland, Savanna’s long history with Wisconsin began in childhood, when for years she went to Camp Anokijig in Plymouth, which forged lifelong friendships.
